How to Write a Video Sales Letter 03 - Internet Business Training for ...

By now, if you had read the previous two articles on How to Write a Video Sales Letter Pt one and Pt two, you would have begun to see that the principles for writing a good video sales letter are much the same as any normal sales letter, but with one crucial difference ? it must be shorter, neater and more directly to the point.

However, you have both text and voice at your disposal and using these two combined you can start putting things together by outlining your format.

Start with your headline?

Perhaps a question which demonstrates the dream?. following that write a one paragraph story to illustrate your point. Then write a single sentence that explains the essence of your paragraph.

At all times remember to keep your thoughts short. The paragraph is what you would say; the sentence is what will appear on the screen.

Then come up with a smaller question, a sub-heading, which demonstrates the problem.

Can you think of half a dozen hard hitting bullet points that illustrate the difficulties? These would become two ?pages? of your video presentation (two frames) with your voice reiterating them; expanding on them.

These would be followed by another sub-heading ? introducing the solution.

You can also use the occasional image to enhance your text (black text on white background), but don?t let the images rule the landscape, keep everything in balance.

Repeat the above until you have fully explained the benefits of your solution to the viewer? just as if you were talking to two people sitting across from you at a coffee shop. You?re not trying to ?sell? everyone; you?re just talking to them.

Then you ask them to buy.

Start with what it might be worth to them. You want them to imagine a much higher price than you?ve got in mind; how much time will it save them? How much money will they make or save? How GOOD will it *be* for them? Use simple numbers because numbers are good.

Then show them a few choices of numbers. Explain why the top price is too much (but you could charge that if you wanted to). Explain why the cheap price doesn?t cover all that they need? and lead them to the mid price which is easily affordable? and exactly what you want.

Ask them to ?order now? and show them a picture of your ?order now? button which you use on your website. Tell them where it is. Tell them that once they own your product, they?ll be so happy that they do.

Then show them your guarantee. Read it to them or tell them just how damn good it is and how well they are protected. People want to feel secure.

Then show them your order button again. Tell them that the time to order is? ?now?, because they may never see this again.

Be gentle, be soft in your voice, and be caring. Remember, you?re only talking to two people across from the table.

Then let the video play another 15 seconds with your order button on it. No sound, no voice, just the order button.

Now.

The musicians' self-help and motivation guide : the begining of the ...

The beginning of the writing of a book is always a very particular and exciting moment.

It?s a period of time where everything seems possible as ideas, concepts and virtual chapters pops out of your mind at every possible unexpected moment.

It can wake you at 3:00 am or it happens when you?re at a restaurant with some friends of yours and you don?t have any kind of pen or any bit of pencil to write it down before it vanishes as quickly as it came out.

Fortunately, it will come back.

Always.

As far as I?m concerned, since then, ?before I actually start to write the chapters of my book, I usually enter a primary building process that stands upon ?5 specific steps : structure, path, sources, rest, ?consolidation.

I always begin with a small and light table of contents, throwing down on a sheet of paper the first ideas that come to me.

This step is based on a few questions I ask to myself :

  • What?s the starting point ?
  • Where do I want to go ?
  • What story and things do I want to tell people about ?
  • How this book could be any different from every other book dealing with the same topic ?
  • How can I propose a book nobody ever thought or dare writing before ?
  • If I wasn?t the author, what would I want to read and learn from the man or woman who?d have wrote it ?

This step is very important because it allows me to see if I believe in the project. It also helps me to identify if I?m gonna take pleasure to write the book and to know if I will be satisfied once the book published.

This backbone will have a strong impact for the writing because, if I?m not fond of what I?m going to do, nobody will.

Just so you know, the first draft summary for the musicians? self-help and motivation guide?I put online is right here : download.

I don?t read theorical self-improvement books.

I just read books in which the author tells with honesty what he did, what he tried, what he failed and what he achieved.

Such books create a specific link between the reader and the author as the first one will identify himself in the story of the second one.

This kind of books generates fan, community, sharing behavior and give hope to any reader.

That?s what I felt whent I read Tim FERRISS? 4 hour workweek book.

It helped me for several parts of my life, it inspired me, it gave me strength and made me think to myself ?At least, someone put in a book what I was not able to say on my own?

As a matter of fact, as an author, I try to stick to such an author?s state of mind.

Hence, I try to pick up in my own story, issues or successes I?ve been through that could help readers to clearly get my point.

Moreover, it?s important for to stay connected to reality. So, as I explained in the books section, I?m not a guru and don?t want to be perceived as a ?Follow-me-and-all-your-troubles-will-disappear?-man.

For me, the purpose is to help people by connecting my personal growth skills with what I lived, what I tested and what impassions me.

For the musicians? guide book I will dig in my own musician path, my management skills, my passion for martial arts and zen philosophy.

Humbleness is a must and life is about learning continuously.

I can?t imagine writing a book without being aware of some other author?s point of view.

That?s the reason why I focus tightly on books I call ?killer? books.

By that, I mean tooks that rule and give you new ideas, new visions, new perceptions and reveals some leads for your book you wouldn?t have even think about.

By the way, I always connect these books I read with music, dvd, footages I see incidentally, Comic books and so on and so forth.

At this moment, as I my mind is definitely oriented to my goal, I try to capture every sign, every piece of information, every color, sound or feeling, whatever, ?that could bring something a piece of my own DNA in the book I?m ready to start writing.

Should I explain that ?

My brain is my force. So I have to take care of it.

Moreover, all of this is about having fun.

So I have to enjoy my own journey to give the best of me eventually.

It?s time to mix up all of this and put it all together so to consolidate the initial table of contents.

And the writing can start.

Now !

Sony's upcoming ST26i smartphone could hit the market under Xperia J name

Sony's upcoming ST26i smartphone rumored to hit the market under Xperia J name

As is often the case, once you make your first unannounced, unexpected appearance, more are likely soon to follow -- and that's what's happening with Sony's forthcoming slab, the codenamed ST26i. Unlike last time we saw it in most of its glory, though, now it's only showing up in full text mode, revealing what could be its official moniker once it finally launches. According to a leaked doc acquired by the folks from Xperia Blog, Sony's purported 4-inch handset could snatch up the Xperia J nametag after making the transition from the more subtle and discrete ST26i title. Unfortunately, no other fruitful details were revealed in the process, but something tells us now it's only a matter of time before this ICS-filled Xperia J gets past its rumor phase and becomes something more concrete.

Who were All-Star snubs?

You knew it was coming. In truth, I think those in charge did a better job of picking this season?s All-Stars than they have in recent years. Still, I have some disagreements, even if none of them are quite as vehement as last season?s.

Austin Jackson (OF Tigers) ? Jackson?s DL stint probably cost him a roster spot, but he?s played in just as many games as Mike Trout this year and has the better OPS of the two at .945. In fact, he ranks sixth in the AL in OPS, and he?s played an outstanding center field for Detroit. Ideally, the AL would have found room for him, Trout and Adam Jones on the squad, but if one of them had to be left off, it should have been Jones.

Bryce Harper (OF Nationals) ? No, Harper didn?t necessarily deserve a roster spot on merit. But it?s not like he was far off, either, and he?d give a lot of people more reason to watch the All-Star Game. ?He probably would have been voted in as a starter had he been listed on the ballot. His .274/.346/.475 line is about as valuable as Jay Bruce?s .257/.327/.526, especially once one factors in that Bruce is putting up his numbers at Great American. There still could be room for him on the team if he wins the Final Vote, as seems likely.

James McDonald (RHP Pirates) ? Incredibly enough, the NL All-Star pitching staff will feature just one guy in the top six in the league in ERA and three of the top 11. Brandon Beachy and Ryan Dempster, Nos. 1 and 2 respectively, are on the DL, so they weren?t possibilities. No. 3 R.A. Dickey did get the nod. However, the next three on the list: Ryan Vogelsong, Johnny Cueto and McDonald, were all left out. I see McDonald as the biggest snub. Not only is he sixth in ERA, but he?s fourth in the league in WHIP. His three losses this year have all come in games in which the Pirates were shut out.

Johan Santana (LHP Mets) ? How many no-hitters does a guy have to throw to get some recognition? Santana is 10th in the NL in ERA ahead of All-Stars Gio Gonzalez, Stephen Strasburg, Wade Miley, Cole Hamels and Lance Lynn. I?d have gone with McDonald over Lynn, Santana over Miley and either Cueto or Madison Bumgarner over Hamels.

Edwin Encarnacion (1B-DH Blue Jays) ? The AL is carrying three designated hitters and still couldn?t find room for this guy? Encarnacion ranks seventh in the league in OPS and fifth in homers. He?s also struck out 70 times fewer than Adam Dunn.

Jake Peavy (RHP White Sox) ? In stark contrast to the NL, the AL managed to take its top five pitchers by ERA. Still, manager Ron Washington left off No. 6 in Peavy. Peavy also ranks fourth in WHIP and sixth in strikeouts, but he?s just 6-5 thanks to poor support. The White Sox probably didn?t want him pitching in the game anyway.

Jed Lowrie (SS Astros) ? Lowrie leads all shortstops in homers and is third in OPS behind the AL All-Star Asdrubal Cabrera and the injured Troy Tulowitzki. I don?t mind Jose Altuve as Houston?s All-Star, but on merit, the NL should have picked Lowrie over Starlin Castro.

Aar0n Hill (2B Diamondbacks) ? With Lowrie representing the Astros, Hill could have made the team over Altuve. Mr. Cycle?s .878 OPS is 75 points better than that of Altuve and 100 points better than that of any other NL second baseman.

Ernesto Frieri, Scott Downs (RP Angels) ? Frieri has pitched 23 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out 40 since arriving in Anaheim. Downs has a 0.35 ERA in 26 innings after finishing at 1.34 last year. I?d certainly rather rely on those two for matchup purposes late in the game than either Chris Perez or Joe Nathan.

Josh Willingham (OF Twins) ? Willingham has the AL?s 10th best OPS at .913, but he was a casuality of the fact that the AL is carrying three DHs in David Ortiz, Dunn and Billy Butler.

Paul Goldschmidt (1B Diamondbacks) ? If anyone deserves to play nine innings in the All-Star Game, it?s Joey Votto. Not only is he the NL?s best hitter, but there just weren?t any great options to back him up. Bryan LaHair was chosen as the team?s other first basemen, even though his numbers have taken a big nosedive of late. Adam LaRoche was more deserving, even if his .251/.338/.506 line is nothing special. My preferred choice, though, would have been Goldschmidt, who has shaken off a rough start to hit .293/.369/.542 in 225 at-bats.

Kenney defends cuts to extended health-care ... - Health and Fitness

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney is defending the Conservative government?s decision to reduce health coverage for refugee claimants.

More Related to this Story

Benefits under the interim federal health program, which provides extended health-care benefits to refugees, are to be cut as of Saturday.

After that, refugees will see their health-care coverage limited to emergency services, or if their care is required to prevent or treat a disease that could endanger the public.

Ontario Health Minister Deb Matthews is urging the federal government to reverse its decision to ?significantly reduce? health coverage for refugee claimants.

?In effect, this policy change will create a class system for health care in Canada,? she wrote in a letter to Kenney and Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq.

But Kenney says he doesn?t understand why the provinces are more concerned about providing supplementary health benefits like dental care and eye care to rejected asylum seekers than to their own citizens.

?Their own citizens, including seniors on fixed incomes, don?t get these supplemental benefits,? he told a news conference.

?So why should they be forced to pay for them through their taxes for, for example, rejected asylum claimants? So I think that perhaps some of the provinces who are raising this have put their priority in the wrong place. They should be more focused on their own citizens and residents than people who, in many cases we?re here talking about, (are) effectively illegal immigrants. That is to say, rejected asylum claimants who are under removal orders from Canada.

?The real question is: Why were we providing them with tax-funded health insurance in the past??

And he said extended benefits for refugees are better than those received by most Canadians.

Several doctors released statements on Friday opposing the cuts.

?Why is minister Kenney persisting with interim federal health program cuts in the face of near-uniform opposition from national health organizations and now the governments of Ontario and Quebec?? Dr. Philip Berger, head of family medicine at St. Michael?s Hospital in Toronto, wrote in a statement.

The changes ?have nothing to do with equity and only to do with hurting refugees including pregnant women and their babies,? he added.

Berger said opponents of the cuts plan to continue to dog government MPs across the country to show their opposition.

?The interventions at Conservative MP events across Canada will continue indefinitely.?
